Adjusted Gross Score
The Adjusted Gross Score is a term from the World Handicap System (WHS) and refers to a player's total score for a round, where the score on each individual hole is capped. This capping happens at 'net double bogey', which equals the par of the hole plus two strokes, increased by the handicap strokes the player receives on that specific hole via the Stroke Index. This score is crucial for calculating the day's result and the Handicap Index, as described in Rule 3.1b of the Rules of Handicapping.
