About Golfregels.app
Golfregels.app is an independent learning app and website made by David van Hoven, a developer and golfer from the Netherlands. It started in 2026 with one goal: explain the rules of golf so you can actually apply them on the course, and help beginners pass their rules exam.
How the content is made
Every explanation is written in our own words based on the official Rules of Golf (2023 edition) by the R&A and the USGA. We never copy the official text; we translate it into situations a club golfer recognises: ball in the water, in the bunker, lost, or a debate in the group. We use software and AI tools while writing and translating; every rule text, definition and exam question is then checked against the official rules and corrected where needed. The date of the last check is shown at the bottom of every rule page.
