Ground under repair

Ground under repair (GUR) is an abnormal course condition. It includes any part of the course marked as such by the Committee, unmarked holes made by the Committee or maintenance staff, and piles of cut grass, leaves, sand, or other material left for removal. Players may take free relief under Rule 16.1.
